Some more teacher gifts...

Hi there!

Today I would like to  share another post of some teacher gifts... yes.. I know more tecaher gifts... but teachers are amazing people and I really think they desrve a lot of thanks!!!!

These purses were made from a tutorial I purchased from Becky Roberts... and if any of you follow my blog you know that I was thrilled to meet her in January at Leadership. She is a wonderful lady and an amazingly talented stamper and you can check out her website here.

In ecah purse is a gift card surrounded by hershey chocolates. You can be sure i will be making more of these fun gifts!!

Up,Up and away!!!

Today I have a card from a brand new stamp set form the Catalogue called "Up,up, & Away".

I just love this stamp set! it's so much fun to use!!

This card also shows a few other new things... like the new designer series paper called "Just add cake" and can you see the embossed oval that I put the balloon inside?? Oh... I just love it!!! It's a new Textured Embossing Folder called Designer Frames !! In this you get two frames, the oval one shown above and also a beautiful rectangle one too!!

The best part is that Stampin up! has done their homework and the Extra large Oval punch fits perfectly inside this embossed oval.. I love it!!!

Have a great day!!

Hi there!

Check out these fun little 3-D swaps! I made 30 of these sweet packages for Convention. The package is made using two of the tags from the "Two -Tags" die. (That's a lots of "Two's") :) I just love this little package and how simple it is to make. It woild also make a great nakin holder for birthdays, Thanksgiving or Christmas! Ohh... the possiblities...

The strawberry is the embosslit called scallopped heart of hearts, and the leaf is from the 5 petal flower punch.

Here's a look at the inside...some sweet berry candy..

I hope your having a great day!!

Some 3-D swaps....

Hi there!

Today I would like to share with you one of my 3-D projects I will be swapping at Convention. I have a couple of 3-D projects this year as I really get lots of ideas from these swaps. I've made 25 of these little packages....

It's a magnetic butterfly. The big shot will cut right through the magnetic paper. All you do is stick your pattern paper over top and run it through the machine. Then I attached some wire for the antennae and another smaller butterfly over top that's just paper so you can "fluff" this one up to really make it look like it's flying off your refrigerator!

Check back tomorrow for some "sweet" 3-D swaps!!

Convention bound!!

Hi there!

I am so excited!! Today I leave for Stampin up!'s annual Convention! Each year thousands of demonstrators from all over Canada and the US meet in Salt Lake City for four days of fun, friendship, and of course stamping!! There will be classes, demonstrations, awards, surprises and lots of swapping!!

What's swapping you ask?? Demos show up with cards that they have designed and created in "bulk", Then they swap with each other! It's great to go there with 50 of one card that I've designed and then come home with 50 different ideas! I gte so much inspiration from all these samples that I bring back. I will share these with you as soon as I'm back!

Above is the card that I've desigend this year. I used the new stamp set called My friend for this card.

This was not my original  idea for my swap card but there were some problems with my Fedex shipment (o.k lots of problems..but I won't go there!!) So... Ihad to come up with a new plan. Do you recall the Waffle paper form the holiday mini? I was happy to see that the gold and silver made it into the catalogue so I decided to play with it. I have to say it is nice, and it does have a bit of shimmer to it as well.

The trick to punching the waffle paper is to lay it over a piece of cardstock first for support and then punch right through both. If you just punch the waffle paper it will get caught up in your punch.

I will try and post updates while I'm in Salt Lake be sure to check back daily as I have posts already programmed while I'm away.

Wish me luck... I'm praying for no travel problems like the Leadeship conferenece in January!!!

Take care!!

Teacher thank you's!!

Hi there!

Today I would like to share some more teacher thank you gifts! Even though I made a few of these for the kids teachers, I loved this project so much that I think it would also make a great hostess gift.

These were also cased from Jill Hilliard and they were so much fun to make. :)

The flowers were cut using the big shot die called Flower Folds. I absolutely love this die, and I am thrilled that it didin't retire! You will see more projects with this die for sure! I filled the jars right to the top with hershey kisses, and well the greeting just says it all....

I hope you are having a great weekend! Today we spent the day as a family at the Calgary Stampede. So much fun!! Yahoo!!

Now.. I'd better get back to finishing making my  swaps for Convention! I leave on Tuesday and I am over the top excited!!!

Check back for more projects!!

Becky Roberts!!!

I was so thrilled to meet up with Becky Roberts when I was at convention.

She is so sweet and this year she won a ton of awards, such as Founder's circle, and # 56 Demo of the year in the US. Congratulations Becky!!

I was excited when she gave me one of these..

It's one of her signature Inkng Idaho pins!! It will forever hang on my lanyard!! :)

She also gave me one of her Butterfly post it note Key Chains!! I saw her post a few days before Convcention on these and I admired them. I didn't realize I would be one of the lucky recipient of one of them!! :) Thank you Becky!!

These were made using the Beautiful Butterflies die. Love it!!

Chocolate Thank you's....

Hi there!

Today I would like to share with you a project we did in Stamper's club last month. It was completely inspired by Jill Hilliard ... another one of my stamping idols :) You can see her blog post here with instructions on how to make these.

I changed mine up a bit to use the new builder wheels from the Summer mini. I just love these wheels! You can use just one, two or all three at once if you like. Here, I have used all three with a triple cell ink cartridge that was inked up with Real Red, Garden Green and Pacific point.

Please don't fall in  love with the apple stamp as it was from the Tart and Tangy set that retired last month but I am happy to say that Stampin up! has replaced it with an awesome new set called Fruit and Flowers. (page 99 of the new catty) It's great and in fact it's part of a whole new product suite called Berry Blossoms!

I'll be back with another thank you project tomorrow!!

"See" you then!

Loads of Thanks...

Today I have a gift card holder to share using the stamp set called Loads of love. I was happy to see that this stamp set did not retire and when I needed a thank you card for Andrew's bus driver I realized that I do not own a single "bus" stamp. I know... shocking isn't it!! :)

So I had to improvise and this is what I came up with...

I used the Postage punch and the co-ordinating pretty postage stamp set for the thanks.

It had to hold a gift card so this is what the inside looked like...

"See" you tomorrow!!

Mickey surprise!!!

Hi there!

Today I went to the mailbox.. which hardly ever happens as my hubby usually gets the mail on his way home every day. Well, today he forgot so I went to the mailbox and look what I got...

It's a congrats card from my friend and fellow demonstrator, Kim Knopf. She sent this to me to congratulate me on earning the Disney incentive trip!! That's right!! Thanks to you, my loyal customers and my wonderful team of  ladies in my downline, I've earned the all expense paid trip for two ... incentive trip!!! I can tell you I did a little dance of joy when I found out!! The incentive trip is the ultimate reward for a stampin up! demonstrator! This will be my second trip (first one was to Hawaii) and I am so looking forward to it. Of course we will also be taking the kids on this trip!!

Kim also earned this trip, as well as a few more of my wonderful Stampin friends!! It should be a blast!!

Now for my card share for today...

Oh how I am in love with this punch and it's co-ordinating stamp set!!!

The punch is called Petite Pennants Builder and it has two shapes included so that you can make matted pennants. I used the white baker's twine to attach the pennants and the Happy Birthday is embossed with the new Melon Mambo embossing powder.

Here's the inside...

Super fun card to make... you can be sure I will get a lot of use out of this punch!!!

"See" you tomorrow!
