Raining Flowers!

When I found out we were getting the stamp set called "Raining Flowers" in our Convention Bag, I was happy!

I just love two step stamping and this set is all about the "Two-Step". There are 13 stamps in this set including the stem outlines, leaves and many cute flowers with the outlines.

Today's card features one of the flowers stamped in the new In-Color called Calypso Coral. I just love this color... it's a very warm and cheerful color. I used the color coach to get this combination of colors. Here I've used Baja breeze for the card base and Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral for the layers.

and for the inside..

The greeting on the front is from the Pursuit of happiness set. It's still sitting on my desk from the last card I made simply because I don't want to put it away. I love all the greetings in this set! You'll see more if these for sure.

The inside thank you is from the set called "Thank you kindly", which has 4 great fonts for Thank you cards. This set is simply a "must have" if you make thank  you cards. :)

If you like this card, you'll have to join me for my first "Afternoon Delight class" for a Mom's timeout next Tuesday afternoon from 1-3 pm. We will be making three different cards and if you'd like more, you can make as many as time allows for $2.50 per extra card. This is a weekly class I will be doing so keep checking back for a peek at the cards will be doing. :)

Hope to see you soon!!!

Sweet Floral!!

Hello!!!

I am so excited to be feeling better from my cold!! Summer colds have got to be the worst!!

I am also excited to let you know that I have been busy filling my fall schedule with fun new classes and clubs staring in September! Which.. by the way.. is next week!!!! ( I will have a special post tomorrow announcingmy fall calsses and clubs!!) I usually love September...the air gets a little cooler, the leaves change color, people get back into routine and the kids return to school.

Well... this year I have to admit I am a little sad... you see my youngest child (Amanda) is now entering grade one and that means she will be at school ALL day now. **sigh** I will dearly miss our afternoons together, where we come home, have lunch and have the rest of the day together before Andrew and daddy get home. I have been truly blessed to have this opportunity to be at home with her since her birth and I know how fast time flies.

You see, my other child, (Andrew) is entering grade 10! Another Big **sigh **.Senior high, I can't believe it!! Being home and being a Stampin up! demo is so important to me. I LOVE being here when the kids come home from school, when my basement is filled with teenage boys (and Ican make them a plate of nachos). LOL! I Love being in control of my schedule and picking when to work around my children's schedule. This truly is the greatest job ever and I Love to share that with everyone I meet! :)

Ok... enough sappy stuff about me... how about some stamping inspiration??

When the Catalogue first came out I fell in love with this background stamp called Sweet Floral. I just love how elegant it is. For this card I inked up the petals with my versamarker and the leaves with the Old olive stampin writer. Then I used the lovely Cherry Cobbler embossing powder on the leaves. The picture does not do justice to the "shininess" on the petals...love it!!

Then I inked up the En Francais background stamp with crumb cake and stamped over top of the flower. The edges are sponged with chocolate chip ink.

For the side, I punched a strip of crumb cake cardstock using the Lace Ribbon Border and I attached 1 inch Cherry Cobbler circles behind to give some contrast.

The little "4 you" is from the stamp set called " Tiny Tags" and it is stamped on a Mini Vintage Tag.

The ribbon is a sneek peek at the lovely Cherry Cobbler Quilted Satin Ribbon from the Holiday Mini Catalogue which starts on September 1st. Which, by the way, if you did  not get one of these in the mail yet, please let me know and I'd be happy to send you one!

I hope you like today's card!! See you tomorrow with some fun new class announcements!!!

Live in the sunshine!

I just love this greeting!!

I was attracted to this stamp set as soon as I saw it in the New Catalogue! It's called "Pursuit of happiness" as it has some wonderful greetings to make and send someone you care about.

For today's card, I got a chance to play with the cutest set from the Summer Mini called "Sunny Fun". I just love these little kids playing in the water...they make me smile!

I stamped the image with Stazon and then watercolored the images. Then I layered it onto a piece of Pool Party cardstock. The card itself is made of the most striking blue from Stampin up!'s new in colors called Island Indigo.

The centre of the sun is made using the Lace ribbon border punch with Daffodil delight cardstock. I then used a 1 inch punch to punch out the circle shape. This is then sponged with Daffodil Delight ink and layered onto a punched out solid image from the Blossom Bouquet Triple layer punch (That's a mouthful) :)

Tis the season....

for Anniversaries that is!!!

Hey there!

First I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to all those who attended my Annual Retirement Sale last night! I was so thrilled with the turn out and it sure was great to see so many faces that I have not seen in a while! :) I didn't get to catch up with each of you as much as I would have liked , as it was busy, but I sure hope to see you all again soon and have a chance to sit and chat and stamp together!! I also hope you enjoy all your "FREE" stuff you took home last night and you are having fun playing with them while you wait for your brand NEW stuff to Arrive!! I'll be in touch as soon as it's here! Thank you again. I really appreciate all your support!!!

For some stamping inspiration, I have an Anniversary card to share. This one has some of my favorite fabric as an embellishment. The scallops on the bottom of the card were made form the Designer Fabric called Timeless Portrait and it is very beautiful in real life. I cut the scallops using the Tasetful trim Big Shot die and they are also layered with Basic Black cardstock scallops. The corner is punched out using the Scallop trim corner punch.

The layer of pearls is a strip from the Basic Pearls Jewels. The flourish is from the single stamp called Elizabeth. The greeting is from Teeny Tiny wishes and it's punched out of confetti white cardstock using the word window punch. The layers of punches are the Modern label in Cherry Cobbler and a large oval punched out of Basic Black behind it.

Berry sweet!

Hi there!

Today, I have a fun project to share using my favorite Stampin up! tool....The Big Shot!!!

These sweet strawberries were made using one of the flowers from the Bigz XL die called Flower Folds.

I ran them trhough the polka dot embossing folder to get the little dots and the leaf at the top was made using the 5 petal punch.

The box is from another Bigz XL die called Fancy Favor. It too was run through a new embossing folder called "Stripes" to give it some texture.

Fun projects!!

Hello!

Today I would like to share with you a couple of fun 3-D projects.

I just love punch art and I was thrilled to get this little girl candy container from Michelle Kuhm as a swap at Convention. Isn't she darling??

IMG_2998

Another one of my favorites is this fun little sewing kit using the matchbox die and some fabric. This would make a cute little gift for the person in your life who loves to travel. This project did not have any contact info on the back so I don't know who to give credit to for this one. If it's you, let me know as I'd love to acknowledge you here.

Hope your having a great day!!

This one's for you, Amber!!

Hey there!

My friend and downline, Amber is doing a Christmas craft fair this fall and she e-mailed me for some ideas. When I got this cute snowman Tic Tac box as a 3-D swap at Convention, I instantly thought of her!

Isn't it cute?? These would make great stocking stuffers or teacher gifts.

It's never too early to start thinking about Christmas! :)
