Top note thank you's

Happy Sunday to you!

Hope your having  a great weekend so far. Yesterday, I did Emily's birthday party and it was lots of fun. The girls loved their projects and were excited to take them home to put up in their rooms. :) The birthday girl was very happy so that put a smile on my face for sure. :)

Well... I'm off to do my first of 6 workshops that I booked with the "Book-A-Thon". I'm super exited!! Wish me luck!!

For today's stampng share, I have some quick and easy thank you notes that I put in my customer's orders this month. The top note has to be one of my favorite dies for the Big Shot!

I just scored the top note down the middle line and attached some dsp, added a small piece of ribbon to the bottom half and voila! a cute little thank you note. So easy to whip up a few of these. :)

Thanks for checking back today... I'll "see" you tomorrow!!!

Up,Up& Away Birthday card

Happy Saturday to you!

Today I have a fun card to share using one of my favorite sets called Up,Up & Away.

This set has 5  balloon images and 4 different greetings. It also has a basket, a flower, a "Tail" for floating balloons and a cute cloud with the birds image. It's a set of 14 stamps for just $22.95 for the clear and $32.95 for the wood mount. What a great value!

For this card I inked up the  balloons with my markers, cut them out and adhered them with dimensionals for some added depth. What I love most about this card is the background paper. It's from the Designer series paper pack called Big Top Birthday and it has some really fun patterns.

The letters were cut with my wonderful Big Shot (LOVE IT!!) using the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet die cuts.

My colors of choice for this card were:

  • Whisper White (card base)
  •  Real Red (Cardstock layer and marker)
  • Old olive marker
  • Tempting Tourquoise marker
  • Chocolate chip marker

I hope you like today's card. Remember to leave a comment by Monday for the blog candy draw. :)

Have a great day!!

For today's crafty project, I was inspired by my friend and fellow demonstrator, Kristine Burns. I cased this project almost exactly beacuse I loved it so much!! I am doing my first ever birthday party tomorrow with 8 year old girls. :) It's a Canvas memo board and each girl will go home with her very own.

It has a cork board, a piece of Decor elements Chalkboard, exclusive Stampin up die cut flowers, stamping on the writing pad and my favorite part is the decor elements girl. :)

Here's a close up of the decor elements girl on a window sheet. Cut with the scallop oval die. Yes! the big shot cut through the thick window sheet like butter!! Sorry for the glare on the window sheet.. that's me taking the picture!! :)

Thanksgiving treats!

Hi there!

I was inspired by my friend and downline Wendy for this fun project. Thanks Wendy!!

The top note die is so versatile! This idea can be used for a candy treat or even as a napkin holder for your Thanksgiving table.

I used soft suede cardstock for the top note die and I scored it one inch on either side of the middle line. Then I just folded the sides up and attached a Velcro dot to keep it closed.

I attached a 1/2 inch strip of Spice cake fabric at the bottom and a 1/2 inch strip of Spice Cake designer series paper at the top with a leaf cut out of more mustard cardstock using the Leaves number 2 die. I also embossed the leaf using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder and sponged it up with a bit of Soft Suede ink. The letters were stamped using the alphabet stamp set called "Just Perfect Alphabet"...also with Soft Suede ink.

Here's a look at the side view, with some chocolate treats!

I hope you like today's simple project... so easy to duplicate for any occasion.. birthday or even Christmas!!

French Foilage...

One thing that never ceases to amaze me is the detail in the Stampin up! images. :)

Shelly Gardner (Ceo and co-founder of SU) said that even though they were introducing the clear mount option for stamps, they would never get rid of the "red rubber". This must be the secret to the wonderful detail in the images.

Check out one of the leaves on this card from the Stamp set called "French Foilage" ....

This leaf is just one of three leaves in this set plus the "script" background and the "splotches" are also included in this set.

This set is more beautiful in real life and for just $24.95 for the wood and $17.95 for the clear, this set of 6 stamps is a fantastic value!

Another fun thing on this card is the Spice Cake designer Fabric and Jumbo Button. I'm in love with these buttons... you get 16 in a package. 4 each of four colors - Pool Party, More Mustard, Soft Suede, and Pear Pizzazz. I've used the More mustard on my card.

For the inside, I just sponged the edges of my cardstock woth Soft Suede and stamped a couple more leaves.

The greetings for this card are both from the stamp set in the Idea book and Catalogue called Grateful Greetings on page 27.

If you like this card you can drop by on Thursday during the day from 9:30 - 3:00Pm or on Friday night from 7:00-9:00PM and make as many as you wish for $2.50 per card. RSVP is required.

Check back tomorrow for a quick Thanksgiving treat that we will also be making in these two classes!

Halloween Peek-A-Boo countdown!!

IMG_3995 Hello!

When the holiday mini came out and it had a Big Shot Peek-a-boo die... I was SOOO excited!!

These little pop open windows are so much fun. You can use them for any occasion, Halloween, Christmas advent Calendars, birthdays.. the possiblilties are endlesss!!

For my kids, I decided to do a fun little 12 day countdown to Halloween. While the images are fun to look at through the openings, I know my kids would get a kick if I put a little treat behind them. :)

So I purchased a 12 space muffin tins to be my "treat holder". For the squares, I used Magnetic sheets and the Halloween designer series paper called Frightful sight. I cut the pieces 3 1/2 inches squre and attached the DSP to them and ran them through the Scallop Squares duo die for the Big shot. This machine cuts through the magentic sheets like butter!

Then I stamped various Halloween images on cardstock measuring  1/3/4 squre. These will be the images behind the Peek -A-Boo doors. Like this...

Next, I added  the numbers from the Alphabet die called "Timeless Type Junior Alphabet" to the outside.

Here's a look inside at some of the treats...

I don't plan on giving toys as treats for Halloween but you could do this as a Christmas countdown and include something like this...

I did find a small miffin tin with 24 spaces.. so I am excited to complete this project with the Chrsitmas advent stamp set !! By the way.... today's project was completed with the Big Shot...and it could be yours for FREE with the purchase of the starter kit!! Click here to find out more about this fabulous opportunity!!

What do you think? Would you like to do this as a class ? Let me know and if there's enough interest we can pick a date!

Thanks so much!!
