January 2013

Sycamore Street Scrapbook pages

Hi There!

Today I have some scrapbook pages to share with you. These are the January pages for my monthly scrapbook club.

Did you make a resolution to get more scrapbooking done this year? Why not join a monthly scrapbooking club? I am starting a new one of these clubs and each month you get to make a two page spread and then you get to use all my stamps and Big Shot Dies  for the rest of the evening to make additional pages of your own.

It's a great way to catch up on your pages and have a fun  night out too!!

If your interested, drop me a line at rosecoleman@shaw.ca and I can give you all the details!

Here's a close up at the fun new Honey Comb embossing folder. I love how the banners look with this folder.

Did you notice the fun Designer Series paper on the sides of each page? It's from the pack called Sycamore Street in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. I thought this partucular pattern would go well with snowflakes.... and of course the snowflakes just had to be silver glitter! LOL :)

The little "snow babies" are from a set that was in the Holday mini and they are no longer available but I couldn't resist using them on these fun winter pages.

What do you think? It's January, might as well make the best of it and enjoy the snow. :)

More Amore Mini Backpack!!

Today I have a fun little 3-D project to share with you. I was inspired by Wendy Bell and the backpack she made recently. It uses three of my favorite Big Shot dies:

  1. The Fancy Favor Box
  2. The Top note die
  3. The two tags die (for the front little pocket)

I changed the color scheme and used the new Designer Series paper called More Amore to make my backpack...

I found some of these little magnets at a specialty hardware store and boy are they ever strong!! I just love the sound of the "snap" when you close the lid on this backpack... I know small things amuse me sometimes. :)

Here's a look at the back...

I used the some of the Pool Party ribbon and matching buttoms from the buttons and ribbon pack that comes free with Sale-A-Bration. I love how Stampin up! colors always co-ordinate!!

Oh I almost forgot... did you notice the fun texture on the front pocket? It's from the new embossing folder called "Vine Street" and it's one of the awesome selections you can choose for Sale-A-Bration this year!!

I hope you like today's project and I'll be back tomorrow.

Take Care!!

Madison Avenue

Today, I have a fun card for you using... you guessed it! more Sale-A-Bration freebies!!

On this card, the "Happy Birthday" is from the set in the main catalogue called Itty Bitty Banners and it's also one of the free sets you can choose with your $60 order. As well, this card features the designer series paper called Sycamore Street. I love this pattern here...

Here's a look at the inside... The cute little stem is from the Sale-A-Bration set called Madison Avenue.

and a close up of the new Designer builder Brads...

I just love these fun embellishments. You just stamp a tiny image (here I've used the little bird from the new set called "Itty Bitties")

I punched it out using the little circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack. The brads come with a 3/8 inch epoxy bubble to put over your stamped image. Works great with a little punch out circle of your favorite pattern paper too.

I also layered a one inch circle of Island Indigo behind the brad to make it pop out a little more.

The cardstock colors for this card are Pool Party, Island indigo and Whisper White.

Thanks for checking back and I'll be back tomorrow with another fun project.

Take care!

Hearts a Flutter

Today I have a this beautiful card that I received from my friend, Linda. This lady is soooo creative and when she makes a card, you can really tell that she puts her whole heart into it.

I would never have thought to put Gumball Green and Certainly Celery  together but I LOVE them!!

I love how she's used the banners from the Hearts a flutter framelits and stamp set bundle. They look great stamped in Early Espresso Ink!

She's used 3 Sale-A-Bration items on this card too! Can you spot them? There's the "Thank you" and the "For you" stamps on the side that have been punched out with the new punch, as well as the  "thank you" on the front is from the set called Itty Bitty Banners in the main Catalogue. It too, is a free item that you can choose for your $60 order ! So many choices!!

Linda was so kind to also  bring me this thoughtful gift of handmade dish cloths too!! She made them herself and these cloths are the best!!! I love them!

Thank you so much, Linda!

I'm excited for my meeting tonight with my "Ink-cited Canadians"!!

Have a wonderful day!!

I changed mine up a bit and used one of the new Soda pop Tops as a background for the focal image. I love these fun embelishments!!

Sycamore Street for Mojo Monday

Hi there!

Thanks for checking back. I am happy to report that I am starting to feel better from a cold/flu that literally knocked me off my feet last week. Someone told me there was a bad bug going around and they were right!

Anyways I'm happy to put that behind me and get back to business! Today, I thought I'd start the week off with a Mojo Monday card. I really like their sketch challenges and this week I chose to use Sale-a-Bration items on my card.

Here's the sketch:

Here's my take on the challenge:

Here's a sneek peek at tomorrow's card:

Sale-A-Bration is almost here!

Today, I am excited to share with you, my 3rd swap card from Leadership! This one uses my favorite Sale-A-Bration stamp set called Pattern Occasions.

This stamp set is a set of 5 stamps each with a greeting underneath the image. I used my scissors to carefully cut off the greeting and I then adhered it to the side of the wooden block. This will give me greater flexibliity with the stamps. Of course, you can totally do this with the clear mount stamps as well.

Here are the products I used to make this card:

  • Cardstock: Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Whisper White
  • Stamps: Patterned Occasions (SAB 2013)
  • Dsp: Sunshine and Sprinkles
  • Ink: Pads and Markers in both Pacific Point & Melon Mambo
  • Punches: 2 1/ 2inch circle, 2 3/8 inch scallop circle, Small Oval, Modern Label
  • Other: Tea Lace paper Doilies

One of my favorite new products on this card has to be the new Tea lace paper Doilies! They are so awesome! You can stamp on them, color them with ink, or use them as accents. You get 24 in a pack for just $3.95. I've cut them in half for my card, so that's a really great value!! I sure hope SU keeps these in the new catalogue, they are so much fun!

I hope you like my card share today and my sneek peek at Sale-A-Bration! Which by the way starts next week on Jan 22nd and runs until March 22nd. It's the most wonderful time of the Stampin up! year as you can get your choice of 19 items for free when you spend $60. There's no limit to the free stuff you can earn! Stay tuned as I have loads more to share on this exciting promotion!!!
