Stampin Up! events

Onstage was Amazing! Day one Highlights!

I am truly blessed to have had an amazing time this past weekend in Vancouver for Stampin up!'s Onstage Convention. We arrived on Friday and it was a beautiful afternoon in downtown Vancouver. There were 11 of us from my Ink-Cited Canadians team that went. Everyone dispersed for the afternoon to explore the beautiful city. Some ladies visited Granville Island, some visited family members and I went straight to the hotel and Convention centre to check in and head to my rehearsal for my presentation. Look at the beautiful views from the gorgeous Pan pacific Hotel which was in the same building as the Convention centre. It was a great hotel and I'm so happy we chose to stay here.

After my rehearsal, I had some time to myself to grab a Starbucks and walk along the waterfront. What a beautiful city!

At 5:30, I headed to the Centre Stage Event for the evening. This is an event offered to Silver Elite Leaders and above. I am blessed to have a Gold title which allows me to attend this wonderful evening. We were treated to a wonderful buffet dinner and dessert. The food was amazing! We had some leadership training and heard from fellow demonstrators about how they run their business and we got to chat together and share ideas. It was fabulous!

Meeting up with some demo friends from all over the country! left to right, Evelyn Woods, me, Alison Solven, and Lisa Althouse.

Beautiful flower arrangements on each table...

One of the best parts of the evening... getting handed one of the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogues! This Catalogue is absolutely amazing!!

At the end of the evening, I met up with some more demo friends... Jenilee Pauls, Jenn Picard, Connie Collins  and Leanne Livingston. So many wonderful, inspirational ladies in one place!!

As we walked out of the conference room we were handed a Centre stage gift! A beautiful clutch style bag and inside was a brand new Timeless label Punch. Boy, were we spoiled!!

Come back and see my next post which will be all about Day 2! There's so much to share!

Day two!!

Hi there!

I know two posts in one day... crazy hey??

I just have so much to share! LOL!!

Here are some pictures of the stage. The theme for this year's conference was "My Way". What it means is that being a Stampin up! demo, you can choose to run your business completely your way. Everyone is different, and what works for one person's business may not work for another's. I just love this! Being a demonstrator, has allowed me to be in total control of how I do things, when I do my classes, book my workshops and how I spend my time being creative. "My Way" has evloved and changed many times over the past 9 years of being a demo. Through working full time as a Lab Tech and dealing with shift work to having a new born baby, and now having a teenager and a 6 year old... my life has changed but I have comfort knowing I can do things "My Way".

You see, this is the beauty of being a Stampin up! demonstrator. You can choose how little or how much you want to work. There's room for everyone in this company from hobby Demo all the way to career Demo. What would you like to be? There's room for you too!!

and the beautiful Shelli herself...

There were so many fabulous projects demonstrated onstage! Here are some of them:

These are just a few of the fantastic projects shown onstage. I'll be back tomorrow with more to share!!

On Wednesday, our first day.. we enjoyed our make and take session with my closest Stampin up!friends! It was so much fun to stamp with these wonderful ladies!!

Then we enjoyed a walk along the river fornt and a wonderful Mexican lunch, complete with live music at our table!

Here's our friend Laurie, dancing to the music!!

Later, we all enjoyed a fabulous evening for Manager's reception with Appetizers followed by an amazing performance by Chinese Acrobats. We were on the edge of our seats as they performed their unbeliveable acts!!

When the show was over we  walked out into the lobby and we were greeted by Stampin up! staff who were handing our our new stamp sets with chop sticks (that had Stampin up! engraved in them) attached. Here's Lisa and Chrsitine with their new sets...

Sorry for the long post.. and I know I've not attached any stamped projects... I gotta run and take Amanda to piano but I'll be back later with some onstage projects to show you from Day 2!

Merry Winter...

Well, today I am attending a Regional that is being held in Edmonton. Every year Stampin up! announces where the Regional will be and it's always exciting to have one close by that we can easily get to!

I am super excited as 5 girls form my downline are attending this their first ever SU event with me!!

There will be lots of swapping and this is my swap card for this event...

I love these little snowmen... they kinda look like marshmallows to me. :)

The coloors I used for this card are Rich Razzleberry, and Island Indigo. I love how it turned out. The snowflake is from the set called Delicate Doilies and it co-ordinates with the Doily triple layer punch.

The "real" snow is a new product in th holiday mini called Mica Flakes and it is FUN!! The best part is that I just used snail to attach it to the card and it stuck good!

I hope you like today's card and I'll be back tomorrow with some fun stuff from our trip to Edmonton!

Hello from Nasville!

Hi there!

Whew! What a busy few days!!! I am in Nashville for a Leadership Convention and boy are we having a blast!

We had a bit of a "rough" start with finding out on Tuesday at 5:30 pm that our flights were cancelled for early Wednesday morning! Thanks to my friends...Kristine, Kim and Alyson ....we were able to get on to a Air Canada flight leaving at midnight!! Thanks so much girls!!

We took the red eye flight to Toronto and then on to Nashville yesterday morning at 9:30. We were soooo tired but very excited to get here in time for manager's reception last night!!

Stampin up! gave us all new cowboy hats that were decorated with Chocolate chip ribbon and antique brads!!! Then we all got on a bus for the Wildhorse Saloon for a wonderful evening of amazing, delicious food and line dancing!!!

Here's me and my roomie...Lisa!

When we got off the bus we were greeted by Stampin up! employees with our free Stamp sets and our new Leadership bag!!! We were surprised because we thought we couldn't get these until the morning!!

Here they are all set up on my bed....

That's all for now...I'm off to bed to rest up for another fun day tomorrow!

Thanks for checking in!!

Day three!

By Friday we were getting pretty tired... still very excited but just a little sleep deprived !

The morning started with more swapping and then we enjoyed some great presentations and classes and .... I have to mention my two favorite ones were from Heather Summers and Lyndsay Mahon!!! Both Canadian!! I'm sure you've heard me mention Heather Summers on my blog before! She did a wonderful presentation using punches that I absolutely loved...Can't wait to share what I learned with you!

Lyndsay Mahon also showed us some amazing projects that you can do with My Digital Studio!!

For lunch we had chicken salad and other goodies and this year they had a chocolate fountain with tons of fruit and pastries for us to dip. Yum!!!

Of course we continued with our picture taking of all the display boards. Here's a few pictures of some of the samples made with the free stamp sets that we got in our convention bags.....ah yes...another perk of convention! Free stamps!!!!

Remember to click on each picture to get a closer view!

LOVE these flowers!!! They look so real!!!

Can you see why I come back so inspired? I would love for all of you to join me next year for Convention!!

All you have to do is buy the starter kit (you get to customize the kit to include whatever you want) and  enjoy getting your stamping supplies at a discount! It's as easy as that! You can be a hobby demonstrator and make some extra money for yourself!! How sweet is that?

Back from Convention!!!

Oh my .....where do I start??? I am sooo excited about the Convention trip! I have so much to share with you that I'm not sure where to start!!

I guess I'll start at the beginning! :)

Christine and I flew out on Tuesday and we had a great two hour flight! So quick and easy! While at the airport we right away met some new stamping friends!! We were sitting at the gate and I sat down right next to a girl and I saw her swaps sticking out of her bag! I knew that they had to be Stampin up! demos!!

When we landed we took a quick cab ride to our hotel. We stayed at the Marriott right across the street form the Convention centre and the beds were so soft and cozy!!!

Here's a picture of our room:IMG_0140

Here we are the next morning. Ready and excited for what the next few days would bring!!

We got our convention bags and all the free stamps inside and boarded the bus for the Riverton Campus tour. This is where Stampin Up!'s head office is and the warehouse where all the stamps are stored, picked and boxed up to be sent to us! The most amazing thing about this place is the legacy room where some very talented people put together these amazing displays featuring all Stampin up! product.

I can' possible share all my photos but here are some of the really cool things about the Riverton campus:

The "Sweet Shop" display...with everything made from Supplies!! Just click the picture to get a larger view!

A very cool girl's bedroom!! Even the chandelier was made of paper flowers!!!

These flowers on the wall were unbelievable!

Remember the ladies we met at the airport??   Well here they are all dressed up in the evening for the Flower Power party!!

They were so nice and so much fun! Here's (R-L) Tova, Laura, Kristine, and Allison!!

We enjoyed a great evening of fun, games, food and catching up with some great Convention friends!

Sorry for the extra long post but... I have soo much to share!

 More tomorrow!

 Have a great evening!!

Well it's been a busy few days and we got a new computer so my dear husband has been busy getting it all set up. It's great to have a computer back!

I wanted to  share a couple of pictures of the projects I made for my demo at Regionals. These projects were all made using our stencils.

Here is the pillow using Cheep talk stencils:

The scrapbook album (also using cheep talk stencils)

These projects were so much fun to do! I will post more in the couple of days. Thanks for looking!

My moment in the spotlight!!

Well I survived!! Yes,and it was great!! You know how they say sometimes that the things that you fear should try because you may actually be surprised how easy it is? Well that's what it was like yesterday for my workshop wow presentation!! Actually it really helped having some great ladies from my downline there to give me tons of support! Thanks girls!!!

Yesterday was the Calgary Regional Seminar for Stampin up! demonstrators and guests. It was held at the Telus Convention Center and there were about 450 demonstrators in attendance. I was very excited because they hold these events in different cities around the country and this was the first Regional held in Calgary since 2005.

Everything went great! I focused my presentation on how to make fun gifts and home decor items using our New Stencils. I demonstrated to use dimensional paint and our re-inkers to make your own Stampin Up! color for your stencil. Then I showed them all the things I've made with the my watering can, gift bags, the cover of a 12x12 album and a pillow cover.

At the end of my presentation Shelli gave me a big hug and a card with a gift for any stamp set of my choice!! Whoo Hoo! I wasn't expecting that!

Many people came up to me later and said that they would definitely be trying some of these projects when they got home! Stampin Up! Demos are the best! When you are in a room filled with 450 feel tons of energy from them!!! I can't even begin to describe how supportive everyone is of ech other!

Here are some pics that Michaelea too. Thanks Michaelea!!

Here's Shelli ...she always looks so nice!

Me and the camera man (Tom)...he's such  nice guy!! He's a very soft-spoken gentleman!  He is always on stage with  the demos at all the events. So he's totally used to being around nervous ladies as they are demonstrating! Hee Hee! There was another cameraman in front but you can't see him.

Here's me showing the pillow I made and you can also see the watering can too. I gave that one to Shannon to take back to the home office with her. We had to pick one of our projects for them to take back with them.

Getting a hug from Shelli! Such a sweet lady!!

So you see....if I can do this anyone can!!

I also came back with tons of great swap cards too! Can't wait to see you soon and share them with you!

Thanks for looking!

More on Leadership......

Yes..I still have lots to share from the Leadership Conference in Phoenix. Many of you who know me well...know how excited I get over these events!!

Stampin up! is truly an amazing company and they really treat their Demonstrators very well...especially during the Leadership Conference!

I'm always amazed with the great job that they do with the stage decorations These frames that you see were actually hand-painted and gorgeous in real life!

Shelli looked so happy and excited to see everyone...these pictures really don't do her justice. If you've ever had the pleasure of meeting her you would see what a sweet and down to earth person she is. I had a chat with her and my picture taken with her too...I'll post on that later.

Shelli Gardner:

Here's a picture of us about to eat our "sit-down" lunch!...No box lunches at Leadership!!!

This salad was so big it could have fed three people!! So yummy!!!

This is a shot of our salad before lunch on day two....can you tell that I loved the food???

AS if the salad wasn't enough...we also got this delicious chicken dinner and the amazing dessert in the background.....I think I was "comatose" for the afternoon classes!! ;)

Now...for the REAL Yummy parts....the display boards!!

Stay tuned...I will be sharing more of these!!

 Happy Stamping! :)
